Transforming Mental Health with Dreams

Transforming Mental Health with Dreams is an initiative aiming to improve mental health with the knowledge and practice of dreaming and dreams. It recognizes the link between mental health, waking life experiences, and dreams. encompasses educational events to teach self regulation through dream work and dream sharing. It the passion project of Bei Linda Tang, who is a mother, mental health advocate, author, and creator of Guided Dreaming – a holistic mental wellness practice based on the waking dream trance.

Mental health and wellbeing is dependent on emotions, which are natural responses to life experiences. Unresolved emotions from past traumas and other adversities cause anxiety, depression, and other mental conditions, which negatively affect quality of life. Emotional regulation is difficult because much of is unconscious. Dreaming processes emotions. Dreams reflect emotions. Through the intentional practice of dreaming while awake, one can develop the ability to regulate emotions and mental wellbeing.
